DTC Fault Code Removal

Engine Control Units throw DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) or Fault Codes for a variety of reasons. Often they are indicating a problem with the vehicle which needs to be addressed. Sometimes however faults can be thrown because certain systems have been removed from a vehicle. In this case we can remove the DTC from the engine ECU code, so the fault is never thrown.

Where a vehicle is supported on the ByteFLASH Touch handheld OBD programmer, the end user can request individual DTC trouble codes to be removed in any or all of their software programmes.
